Yes. Fifty per cent is the pass mark for every ACCA exam, at every level, from Applied Knowledge through to Strategic Professional. Score 50 or more out of 100 and you pass; score 49 or below and you do not. It is your total mark that counts.
Does the 50% pass mark ever change?
No. The threshold is fixed at 50% regardless of the paper, the sitting or how hard that particular exam was. Pass rates differ a lot between papers — some Strategic Professional exams pass only around a third of candidates — but that is because those exams are harder, not because the pass mark is higher. The bar itself never moves.
Why does this matter for how you study?
Because you do not need a perfect answer — you need a comfortable margin above 50. That changes your strategy: attempt every requirement, bank the easy marks, and never leave whole sections blank chasing perfection elsewhere. Half of a well-structured, applied answer is worth far more than a flawless answer to only part of the paper.
