What Happens After You Finish the ACCA Exams?

Passing your final ACCA exam is a milestone worth celebrating — but there are a few steps between that moment and being a fully qualified ACCA member. Step 1: You become an affiliate

The moment you pass your last exam, you become an ACCA affiliate. This confirms you've cleared the entire academic side of the qualification — a significant achievement in itself — even though you can't yet use the ACCA designation.

Step 2: Complete your experience and ethics

To convert affiliate status into membership you need to have completed the Practical Experience Requirement — typically 36 months of relevant work experience with your performance objectives signed off — and the Ethics and Professional Skills Module. Many people have most of this done already, having worked while studying, so membership can follow quickly.

Step 3: Become a member

Once all three requirements are complete and approved, you transfer to full ACCA membership and can use the letters. From there, continuing professional development keeps your membership active, and after several years of membership you may become eligible for the FCCA fellowship.
